Earl Varney

Earl Varney

Earl got his early music training as a child in Boston and while attending Brown University where he was part of an ice skating pep band. It was there that he accomplished his greatest musical feat to date: skating in backwards circles while playing "Can-Can" on the trombone. Earl has also performed at the Kimmel Center with the Vanguard Mutual Funds Band, plays for the Wallingford Presbyterian church and sings bass with several choral groups.

Our Earl has great trombone ability
That shows that he has vast agility
No, he's not a carney
He's the Earl of Varney
And he plays with a sense of nobility.
